Pierre Brunet Enterprise Générale: A Legacy of Construction and Innovation
Founded in 1983 by Pierre and Christiane Brunet, Pierre Brunet Entreprise Générale started with small-scale building projects. The company experienced significant expansion after Cyclone Ouma in 1987, which devastated Vanuatu and necessitated an increase in its construction capacities.
From 1980 to 2000, the company specialized exclusively in building, regularly incorporating innovative technologies to improve its production and meet the demands of major construction projects. The involvement of Pierre and Christiane’s three children in 2005 marked a new era of growth, diversifying the company’s activities.
Under their leadership, Pierre Brunet Entreprise Générale expanded its offerings by creating divisions for aggregate production and ready-mix concrete. Vertical integration was essential to master all building trades, a necessity in Vanuatu’s island context.
In 2010, the company added civil works to its areas of expertise, developing capabilities for road and bridge construction. This evolution enabled the company to meet the growing infrastructure needs across all the islands of Vanuatu.
Since 2018, the company has strengthened its presence on the island of Santo and expanded throughout the archipelago, continuing to shape Vanuatu’s infrastructure and build a sustainable future.
